“My Teacher, My Hero”

Who would have doubted the power of teachers, the power to change the world just by doing simple things. They can change the world by just guiding and teaching students to the right path. Without them there will be no technology, no automobiles and no machines. It’s so strange right?Because all of the things that I mentioned above is made by inventors, yes they may have invented or made them but only because of the teachers that guided them in every step of the way.Even doctors, lawyers, engineers and all of the professions that is here on earth all gone through being a student, students that teachers taught even the superheroes that we watched in television shows they all went and seek the guidance of teachers. There are many kinds of teachers, not all are in uniform and teach in school but there are teachers that teach in any place as long as your ready to listen. Teachers also sacrifice their sweat and blood just like our parents by teaching us patiently and also teachers are like our parents because they care for us not just in the classroom but also outside even if they our not our teachers anymore and even if we don’t remember them anymore they still consider us as their students and they also remember us.And because of all the things that I mentioned above Teachers have the right to be called heroes and because of that “My Teacher, My Hero”.
Science month celebration

Science Month Celebration is here  once again with the theme "Unravel the Causes, Build the Solutions, Empower Science Clubbers into Action." In Ilocos Sur National High School they started their celebration this month by sending of  flying balloons in the sky with the wishes of the owner printed or written on it.Come and participate in the activities like the Sci-toy making Contest, poem making and essay writting contest, robotics dance competition and many more.  Come join and help us in preserving the environment and for keeping it clean and green.

Modern day heroes

As a children we thought that those who have powers and amazing gadgets can only be called as a superhero for  example Superman who is indestructable and have many superhuman abilities and also Batman with all of his cool and awesome gadgets. But are they the only ones who deserve to be called Heroes?

Well for me they are not the only ones that can be called Heroes, even without superhuman abilities and without amazing gadgets. We can call ourselves Heroes or even better we can call ourselves “Modern Day Heroes’’ because every little thing that we do that helps anyone besides can be called an act of heroism. Just like teachers, they can be called modern day heroes because they help their students by guiding them toward their dreams and for lecturing  them about what is good or bad. We can also call our parents as a modern day hero simply because they sacrifice their time for us their children instead of using their time to have fun or to rest.

We all deserve to be called modern day heroes especially those who put others first before themselves because they don’t think what is good only for them but instead they think about the greater good. I salute all of the modern day heroes because of what they do and because they have the power, the power to change and improve the world with just a little act of heroism.

                                                  Buwan Ng Wika

“Wika natin ang Daang Matuwid” this is the theme for the Buwan  ng Wika that  is held every month of August. Our ancestors and our National Heroes gave importance to our Filipino language, they didn’t want to get influenced by the foreigners that set foot into our country. But today’ some of the people especially the teenagers neglect to use our own language, and so we need to remind again our fellow Filipino’s that we need to speak our own language, because if we speak our own language it’s like saying that we love our own country and we did not let the foreigners that set foot on our country influenced our language.

Now that the first grading period is over the road to being a high school graduate is getting near. But lets reflect on what I did in the first grading, I think I did quite fine in the first grading but not enough I need to be more serious about my studies.

First grading is fun and I enjoyed it very well because there are so many memories, memories that I will never forget. Memories like when we play basketball every lunch break, jamming when there are no teachers and when were waiting for them. First grading is truly awesome.

Our President, President Noynoy Aquino delivered his 4th SONA on July 22 2013. He started at exactly 4:04pm and ended at 5:46pm. He said that he supports RH Bill which he said he believes that its approval will help a lot to improve the country’s economy. Our President also made an improvement particularly the reduction of the prices of the books in which the DepEd can use the savings from this to construction of classrooms and purchase of educational equipment, as a student I salute him because of that. He also told that his SONA is not only his. Its also the SONA of all teachers, students, employees, and for all the Filipinos that's doing a small things that helps the country's improvement. One thing I can say for sure is even if our President didn't do all his promises he still manage to improve our country even for just a little bit.
